Some of us are thinking when is the best time to leave our beloved PS3 for the new PS4.
Honestly I think it's a complex question and many factors when making the decision.
For example one of the things to consider is price, the PS4 is a new console, fresh out in late 2013, all newly launched product cost is high until some time passes.
Certainly in countries like the US is not too difficult to acquire one or not cost prohibitive but something more complicated in countries with bad economies, here in Argentina the cost is quite high for example. We must add that the cost of PS4 games are also a bit higher compared to the PS3.
Another interesting factor to consider is the catalog of games, PS3 has many more titles to play with great graphics quality that its successor, the PS4, if we are in no hurry to play with the highest quality graphics and we are able to wait for that more titles would not be a bad idea to wait a while longer.
I have not really had a chance to try a PS4 but as I read in several places to play online with the new console, a subscription to Playstation Plus is mandatory, this not only means another cost more depending on the subscription but also a limitation, when playing with the PS3 you can play any online game only with the activation code that includes each game.
Services like buying movies, buy episodes of TV shows, music, Youtube, Netflix, Amazon, etc. are very broad in PS3, there is no great difference to PS4, Sony has just released a few hours ago the Playstation Vue service, TV service over internet that would be available for the first quarter of 2015 but only beginning in some US cities.
Some interesting functionalities in the PS4 may be the option to share a remote session game with certain limit with a friend in case we need help, a friend from his home takes control of the game on your console and start playing. Another interesting feature is to share videos of our games to show to others, some of these features were added very recently, were not previously available some time ago, these features can add value when deciding to buy a new console or may not add much.
My personal opinion I think that the only reason there may be to jump from our beloved PS3 to the PS4 is its incredible graphics, really far surpasses its predecessor and if you've played the majority of titles in the PS3 , I'm agreed to purchase the new console to play new titles that were not developed for the PS3 as Kill Zone Shadow fall, AC Unity, etc. to follow their stories.
As a final conclusion, particularly is that the PS4 will be at some point in my life but for now I will continue to exploit the benefits of the PS3, I still have yet to play many interesting titles and meanwhile can expect the price of the new Sony gem down a bit or at least give more development time for their services, functionalities and stock games.
The decision to set aside our great PS3 seems to me it's very personal, according to the preferences of each player.
If you're from the people who already want to enjoy the new black console, you will have a lot fun and certainly not wasted your money.

Muchos nos preguntamos cuando es el mejor momento para abandonar nuestra querida PS3 por la nueva PS4. Sinceramente creo que es una pregunta compleja y hay que tener en cuenta muchos factores a la hora de tomar la decisión.
Por ejemplo unas de las cosas a tener en cuenta es su precio, la PS4 es una consola nueva, recién salida a fines del año 2013, como todo producto recién lanzado su costo es alto hasta que pasa cierto tiempo. Seguramente en países como EEUU no sea muy difícil adquirir una o su costo no sea algo tan prohibitivo pero en países con economías complicadas como acá en Argentina, su costo es bastante elevado en muchas ocasiones. Hay que sumarle que el costo de los juegos de la PS4 también son un poco más altos comparados con la PS3.
Otro factor interesante a tener en cuenta es el catalogo de juegos, PS3 posee muchos más títulos para jugar y con gran calidad gráfica que su sucesora la PS4, si no estamos muy apurados en jugar con la más alta calidad gráfica y somos capaces de esperar a que haya más títulos no sería una mala idea aguardar un tiempo más.
Realmente no he tenido la oportunidad de probar una PS4 pero según he leído en varios lugares para poder jugar online con la nueva consola, la suscripción a Playstation Plus es algo obligatorio, esto no solo significa otro costo más según la suscripción si no también una limitación a la hora de jugar, con la PS3 podemos jugar a cualquier juego online solamente con el código de activación que incluye cada juego.
Los servicios como compra de películas, compra de capítulos de series de TV, música, Youtube Netflix, Amazon, etc. son muy amplios en PS3, no hay una gran diferencia con respecto a PS4, Sony acaba de lanzar hace unas horas el servicio Playstation vue, un servicio de televisión por internet en la nube que estaría disponible para el primer trimestre del 2015 pero comenzando solamente en algunas ciudades de USA.
Algunas funcionales interesantes en la PS4 puede ser la opción de para compartir una sesión remota de videojuegos con cierto limite con un amigo en caso que necesitemos su ayuda en alguna parte que estemos estancados, la otra persona desde su casa toma control del juego en nuestra consola y comienza a jugar. Otra funcionalidad interesante es la de compartir vídeos de nuestras partidas para mostrarle a los demás, alguna de estas funcionalidades fueron agregadas hace muy poco tiempo, antes no estaban disponibles hace un tiempo atrás, puede sumar valor a la hora de decidir comprar la nueva consola o si realmente no es de tu interés quizás no sume mucho.
Desde mi punto de vista creo que el único motivo que puede haber para saltar de nuestra querida PS3 a la PS4 es por sus increíbles gráficos, realmente supera por mucho a su predecesora y en caso que hayas jugado la gran mayoría de los títulos de la PS3, convenga adquirir la nueva consola para jugar los nuevos títulos que no fueron desarrollados para la PS3 como Kill Zone Shadow fall, AC Unity, etc. para seguir sus historias.
Como conclusión final, particularmente se que voy a tener la PS4 en algún momento de mi vida pero por ahora voy a seguir explotando las bondades de la PS3, me faltan por jugar todavía muchos títulos interesantes y mientras tanto puedo esperar que el precio de la nueva joyita de Sony baje un poco o al menos darle más tiempo de desarrollo para sus servicios, funcionalidades y stock de juegos. La decisión para dejar de lado nuestra grandiosa PS3 me parece que es muy personal y según las preferencias de cada jugador. En caso que seas de las personas que ya quieren disfrutar de la nueva consola negra, solamente te puede desear que te diviertas mucho y que seguramente no desperdiciaste tu dinero para nada.
